A lacquer painting is drawn with color lacquer that has had pigment mixed into the lacquer. It is said that the original technique of lacquer painting dates back to the Jomon period (c. 14,000 to 300 BCE). Works that express this lacquer painting technique in Japanese drawings of the beauties of nature and beautiful women are truly splendid objects worthy of art. Please take a look at each and every painting. We would be truly delighted if you could come into contact with the beauty of lacquer painting distinctive of Japan.
